One of the best places you can buy DVDs at is no other than Big Lots. Big Lots is home to $3 DVDs. They also have DVDs for $5 as well. I have bought all sorts of DVDs there really cheap. When I am done with them I trade them in at the local record store for store credit. Anyway back to some of the obscure movies I have bought there.
I have bought Bubba Ho-Tep at Big Lots a few years ago. They have just about every 007 DVD there with the exception of the Daniel Craig ones. The 007 DVDs are $5. You can't complain there. I also picked up one or two SyFy Original Movies at Big Lots. They Were KAW and Mega Python Vs Gatoroid. Some of the DVDs at Big Lots have their barcodes slashed for some reason. I noticed that this has been declining in recent visits. I used to buy tons of DVDs here but I only buy them once in a blue moon when I find something that I have been looking for or have gained interest in. Yesterday I bought The Don Is Dead which is a 1973 mobster movie starring Anthony Quinn. I saw parts of it on AMC's Mob Week and saw enough of it to buy it.
Buying DVDs at Big Lots can be a fun experience. They have them on huge 3 tiered cubicles 4 sided shelves and on table bins. You'll never know what you'll find at Big Lots. One time around 2009 they had a buyout of TV shows on DVD. Unfortunately I couldn't get there for some reason and I didn't hear about it until a coworker told me about it. It was too late then.
Big Lots also puts out horror movies in the fall and Christmas movies around the middle of the fall as well.
So go out to Big Lots and buy a handbasket of DVDs.
