Haddaway Is Not a One Hit Wonder
When it comes to one hit wonder artists in the US, Haddaway's hit single What is Love? is often regarded as a one hit wonder. However Haddaway is not technically a one hit wonder in the US. He had another hit single called Life (Everybody Needs Somebody to Love). Life charted at 41 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song also charted at 3 on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Maxi Singles Sales Chart. Life was also a number 3 hit on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart. In addition to those charts, Life also charted at 14 on the US Billboard Pop Songs Chart. So What is Love? basically overshadows Life in a landslide. However it is a shame that Haddaway only had two major US hit songs. Interesting enough, Haddaway's self titled debut album was certified gold for sales at 500,000 copies.

Blu Cantrell Isn't A One Hit Wonder
It's been a while since I last blogged. A week or so maybe. So being eager to blog about something I thought about what to write about and It happens to be some baffling music trivia. You probably have heard of the R&B singer, Blu Cantrell. She had a hit song back in 2001 called Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops). Little do many people know that that is not her only hit song. Her other hit is called Breathe which is from her second studio album called Bittersweet. Anyway her song Breathe had charted on Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart at number 17. On the US Billboard Hot 100 chart Breathe charted at 70. On the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart it made it to 83. So Never call an artist a one hit wonder if you don't check all of the charts. That is how artists who are aren't one hit wonders get labeled as one hit wonders. Also with the digital download singles today might chart even though they don't get airplay on the radio.
