Top 5 Matchbox Vehicles You Must Own

I was thinking of a new post to write since I haven't bought any new action figures lately. Literally my area has nothing on the shelves that is worth buying. So yesterday I was in my attic room going through some of my Hot Wheels and Matchbox carriers and took out my Matchbox Grumman Long Life Vehicle and came up with today's post. 5 Essential Matchbox vehicles you must own. Let's begin.
It's a Grumman LLV
   1. Postal Service Delivery Truck. Ok Matchbox got the name of the vehicle wrong but that didn't stop it from being on the list. In reality those USPS trucks you see are made by Grumman and they are called a Grumman Long Life Vehicle or LLV for short. This truck was released twice in USPS livery and twice in character themed such as Mailbox from Blues Clues and a Spongebob themed truck. The USPS version is quite collectible and can fetch double digit prices.
Checker Marathon

  2. Checker Taxi. Ok this car is the Iconic Checker Marathon taxicabs that used to roam the American Streets back in the day. You still see them in movies as they are still quite popular even though Checker Motors has been out of business since 2010 making auto parts. They stopped making Taxis in the early 1980s. You must own a yellow one.

Austin FX4
  3. Austin FX4 Taxi. If You're an American like me you're probably scratching your head and thinking what the heck is an Austin FX4? Give up yet? Don't feel stupid when I reveal the answer but it is the Iconic London Black taxis you see in the UK. Originally Matchbox called the car the London Taxi respectively since they probably thought Americans wouldn't recognize it by an Austin FX4.

El Segundo Police

  4. 2006 Ford Crown Victoria. Ok this car is a cop car. First released in 2006 duh. Anyway this car has been painted in a few different real police department paint schemes. The First being California Highway Patrol and another being El Segundo police. If you are wondering why El Segundo had a release was that Matchbox's parent company, Mattel is based in El Segundo California. Kids wouldn't get that reference. I highly recommend any version that is based on a real police dept.
1963 Cadillac Hearse. Notice the casket.
  5. 1963 Cadillac Hearse. Ok if there has to be one car that is really odd it has to be the 1963 Hearse. When I first heard about the 1963 Cadillac Hearse I could hardly contain myself. The hearse is so cool and very detailed. It has a casket in the back of it with what appears to my eyes to have a hand sticking out on top of it. I could be wrong but that is what I claim to see. Buy the one in Black.

It's About Time

It's already 2013 and until now none of my local stores had any 2013 Hot Wheels Monster Jam Trucks at all. I was hitting a dry run of not finding any new trucks with the crushable cars. So I decided to give Kmart one more try today and today was my lucky day.
For Christmas I got a Kmart gift card for $15 so I decided to use it on some new trucks. So I picked up Team Hot Wheels Firestorm, Brutus and Hurricane Force.

How To Get John Cena Released from WWE

Today while I was at work I thought up today's post. You probably know that John Cena is active in the Make A Wish Foundation and how he granted many kids wishes. I think I know something that would help WWE fans who hate John Cena a lot. I have this crazy Idea that might work in our dreams. Here is the idea.
There is a child who is dying of some sort of childhood cancer who hates John Cena. This child just so happens to be a recipient of the Make A Wish Foundation. For his one wish, he wishes that John Cena to be released from the WWE forever and to go to "Cough" TNA "Cough". Then Vince McMahon will fire John Cena and we will never see his toys clogging the shelves again.
It's pretty stupid but it is an interesting idea nevertheless.

The Best Celebrity Mugshot Ever

Jeffrey Jones is Watching you Poop
Over the years there have been several celebrity mugshots that have appeared. Some are memorable and some of them are not so memorable. One of my favorite mugshots is Jeffrey Jones mugshot. It's one of those that is so funny because it is something that will stick to him for the rest of his life. It's his sex offender mugshot.
The look on his face is priceless.

My New Wallhanger

The other day I decided to buy another Kenner action figure to keep Mint On Card in my attic wall. So I decided to go on a Superman The Animated Series action figure since they are considerably cheap. When I mean cheap, I really mean cheap. Dirt cheap. Which figure did I end up choosing?
Well I ended up getting Supergirl from Superman the Animated Series. No it's not a solution to painting the figure I already  have although I have contemplated it a few times already. I decided to keep it MOC next to my Retro Batman figure.
Notice the multi language carding.
It turns out the Supergirl figure is the interational version which has 3 languages on the card, British English, Spanish, and French.
This figure was a Diamond Comics exclusive at one point if you wanted to get it in the USA since the figure was a European exclusive originally.

I Should've Bought That

Today I thought I would write another toy related post. One of my former coworkers once called me the King of I Should've Bought That. The name sticks if you think of it. We all have passed on things in stores that later on down the road, kick yourself in the butt for not buying it when you had your chance. So I compiled a list of things that I Should've Bought.
  1. Hot Wheels Monster Jam Super Trucker. Ok this really isn't my fault exactly but more of my mother's fault for not buying it for me in the grocery store years ago. I was around 12 or so and didn't have a job then and thus couldn't buy it myself. I later found out that this Truck is worth a pretty penny,
  2. Hot Wheels Monster Jam Airborne Ranger. I guess this is practically my own fault here. I don't like the Mud Trucks versions of Monster Jam Trucks so that is the reason why I passed on it only to walk back to AutoZone where it was no longer there the next day. Aw Man. This truck no matter what version it is goes for at least 3 times its retail price point online.
  3. Jeep Trucker Hat. Ok this is one of those hats that I regret passing on with a guilty conscience. I love trucker hats and Jeeps, and seeing this hat in the sporting goods dept at Walmart meant that It was a better price than an online store. I believe the main reason for passing on it was that the hat was unstructured. Oh well.
  4. Elite 16 Kevin Nash. This is my practically both my mother's fault and my own fault. I was going to go to the bank on my lunch to cash a check, my mother told me no. I was stupid enough to listen to her, so I go to the mall and I see a E16 Kevin Nash, I go to pay for it and guess what, They don't take checks. Also my mother took $20 from me the previous day so It is her fault.
  5. Various Action Figures. I've passed on a lot of action figures during my life that I cannot remember them all.
  6. Various Truck Banks
  7. Various DVD's
  8. Hot Wheels Monster Jam Team Suzuki.
  9. Hot Wheels Monster Jam Surf Monster.
  10. Hot Wheels Boulevard Lincoln Futura.
