Ok today's post is a quickie. In the neverending comparison battle of Mattel vs Jakks-Pacific we move onto round three.
Mattel does some pretty stupid stuff like putting the Ghostbusters action figures on MattyCollector. Collectors hate MattyCollector for several reasons. Mostly because it is a huge pain in the butt to deal with and outrageous shipping prices. Standard shipping used to be UPS now its from Newgistics.
Remember when Jakks-Pacific got the Rocky license? If you do that's a good thing. That was the only Jakks-Pacific product I would buy during 2006. I wasn't into their former WWE line at that time. Anyway where was I? Oh yes the Rocky line. I'm glad that Jakks got that license because we got to see them at retail. Even though mostly KB Toys carried them. I miss KB Toys. The Rocky figures were Ruthless Aggression bodied. That's classic Jakks-Pacific for you. Anyway how does this relate to Mattel?
Well if Mattel had the Rocky license we wouldn't have seen them at retail. They would be on MattyCollector. GASP! Mattel would have ruined that line if they had the license. So who wins this round?
WINNER: Jakks-Pacific!
