Sequelitis is when a movie series gets way to many sequels and they keep going downhill after a certain number of them. Once a movie series gets infected with Sequelitis, it should be put down. Now another great way you can stop them is don't buy the DVD or Blu-Ray or see it in the theater. That will send a great message to the studios that there is no need for another sequel.
