How to Straighten a Bent Car Key

Did you ever accidentally bend your car key? Many people have done that. Many people probably think that the key is no longer good anymore and stop using it or throw it away. This is a problem that can easily be fixed at home. Here is how to straighten a bent car key.
  1. Take the bent car key and put it into a vise.
  2. Tighten the vise so the key is firmly in it's grip.
  3. Take the head of the key and slightly bend it in the opposite direction of where it is bent.
  4. If it didn't bend, slightly reposition the car key so you have better leverage to straighten it.
WARNING do not attempt this if your key is worn out, ex, all of the nickel plating is worn off, or is starting to get brittle. your key might break. Do not do this with a laser cut car key or one with a keyless entry remote as the head of the key.
